The first few images are of a beautiful quiet mountain top village called Sirince where we spent an evening enjoying the view from a treehouse cafe and talking with the owner of the cafe who eventually ended up convincing us to stay for a delicious home cooked meal. If you plan on visiting Ephesus, this is definitely one stopover worth making.
In Cappadocia, we decided to splurge a little and take a hot air balloon ride at sunrise. The best decision ever - I can't believe I almost didn't bring my camera (for fear of dropping it). The most incredible views of natural rock formations and cave homes that have been around for thousands of years. The best part was probably being 1000 meters above the ground without being in any sort of restraint or enclosure.
We spent the final few days back in Istanbul where we soaked in as much of the local sights, sounds and of course tastes that we could. Favourite memories include roaming around the Galata Tower late at night, listening to late night musicians on the main street in Taksim, ordering a plate full of little fried hamsi fish in the fish market and mustering up the courage to try a grilled sheep intestine sandwich.
Can't wait to go back.
How come I went to Turkey avec camera and none of my pictures turned out anywhere near as nice as these?
