JOANNIE + STEVE. ENGAGEMENT SHOOT.

I had a such a great time with Joannie and Steve that I almost didn't let them go home for the evening. They were so trusting and easy to work with. Steve is an old friend of mine and so it was an especially fun time just hanging out together and getting to know Joannie.  Can't wait for their wedding in August!

Inka

Loved working with this gorgeous smile. Inka, you're an absolute natural! There's something about working with confident subjects; there's a personality there for you to capture - and it also speaks to the level of trust that they have in me as their photographer. Here's a small sampling of the portraits taken on a beautiful summer evening not too long ago.  Enjoy!

Baby Noah

I love babies (other people's babies that is!) I love the way they're so curious about their surroundings, love the way their smiles can just melt your heart, love they way they nuzzle into their faces into their mummy or daddy when they're getting sleepy.  Here's Noah doing a check up on the condition of the grass; perhaps a hint of his Dutch gardening genes already emerging?
And here's another one for you - a little man who's got character!

Linguine's Progress!

It's been almost 3 months since we first laid eyes on this little guy and this is how he we first met him...

I'm so proud of how he's coming along!
He had his first taste of tilapia today, but I think tuna still takes the cake.
Oh I also forgot to put a mention back to my first blog site since the move to blogger, so I'm going to do that here, and if you feel like getting to know our little guy a little better you can also go directly to this post. I've got a feeling this will not be the last you'll be hearing of this furry little creature, so stay tuned for more of Linguine's updates!

Bachwoche Berlin 2011

Luckily I was not too jet-lagged on Day 1 of my visit to Berlin to catch the last Bachwoche performance at the Clarchens Ballhaus.  It was such a treat to see a group of immensely talented musicians playing purely for the love of the music.  The performance took place in the Spiegelsaal ("Hall of Mirrors") - an eerily beautiful 1920's ballroom with tall dark wooden panels, candlelit chandeliers and even what looked to be the original ornate crown molding, or at least what's left of it.  B and I shared a most delicious pre-concert margherita pizza in the courtyard restaurant and I would have to say that this is easily one of my favourite spots in the Mitte area.
